Live Music to be Featured at Calais Motor Inn

By Lura Jackson

If you’re in town for International Homecoming Festival and you’re looking for some live music entertainment to go along with your dining experience, then the Calais Motor Inn may fit the bill. Along with its deck, which is open to diners from either Nino’s Downeast Cuisine or Ceasar’s Pub and Grill, the motel will be erecting its outdoor eating and drinking area for the weekend of the festival.

The outdoor area will be officially opened on Friday, August 11th at 4:00 p.m., and it will remain open until close. Music on Friday will be provided by High-Tech Entertainment – Mike Tuthill, a DJ from Bangor – starting at 8:00 p.m. On Saturday, the outdoor area will open at 3:00 p.m. with Happy Hour running until 6:00 p.m. DJ ENILE8 – Tanika Niles of Alexander – will be providing musical entertainment for the evening. Cheese and pepperoni pizza by the slice will be available for the convenience and enjoyment of diners.

The Motor Inn’s restaurants offer regular nightly dinner specials along with a recently redone menu featuring entrees like the “Fire chicken burger” with Red Hot sauce and pepperjack cheese, pan-seared salmon with lemon and dill sauce, shrimp po’boys, and appetizers like pot stickers, Gulf shrimp, and jerk wings. Tuesdays offer taco specials, and Thursday night’s wing night is always popular among the regular crowd. Happy Hour runs every day from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
