The Robbinston Historical Society met at the Visitors’ Center at 5 pm on July 18th. It was voted to have a celebration of the 135th birthday of the Grace Chapel’s establishment. Open house will be all day with Evensong at 4:00 p.m. and a community picnic afterwards. Area ministers will rededicate the opening of the chapel. The next meeting will be on September 12 at 5:00 p.m.

On July 25th, Sarah and Jane from the Historical Society as well as my husband and I, 5 dogs and Sarah’s puppy went on a 3 hour nature walk on our property and walked 2-1/2 miles. The weather was perfect and everyone had a great time.

Last Sunday at Palmer Lane Estates, there was an 80th birthday party for Nadine Stanhope give by her daughter. A delicious lunch was enjoyed and she received many gifts. Her two grandsons were able to attend which made it extra special.

This Wednesday, August 2nd at 7 pm at the former school, the first final budget will be presented by the school committee. This budget will be gone over thoroughly and resident input is important. If passed, there will be a validation vote on August 9th from 1 - 7 pm.

The rest of the people celebrating birthdays in August are Miranda Moffett on the 14th, Bobbi Hankel on the 18th, Kyle Johnson on the 19th, Priscilla Myers on he 22nd, Jennifer Ross on the 23rd, Tanner Merrill and I the 28th.

Happy anniversary to Mike and Cathy on August 16.

Sympathy is extended to Paul and Sue Crawford on the passing of Paul’s sister Rosella Lagerquist.
