Here is what is happening at AES this week and in the near future.

Flu shot permission slips went home on Friday.  If you want your child to have their flu shot on October 20th at the school, you need to fill out the forms and send it back to AES by Wednesday, October 11th.

Thursday, October 12th there will be an 8th grade meeting at 6:00 p.m.

The Annual PTG Craft Fair will be held on Saturday, October 28th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Lunch will be available.  Call 454-2623 for more information or if you are interested in a table.  AES is also compiling a list of parents who wish to help at this event with set up in the kitchen, donating to the kitchen or work the clean-up shift.

On Thursday, October 5th the entire Alexander School went to Charlotte to Mr. Ernest James’ Pumpkin Patch.  It was a beautiful day to roam through the patch and pick a favorite pumpkin.  The only rule was, if you could carry it, you could pick it!  A big thank you goes out to Ernest James and his wife for sharing their farm with AES staff and students.  On Friday afternoon the fun continued as each class got to paint their pumpkins.

If you or anyone you know has a special talent or craft, AES would love them to share with the students at AES.  Just contact the school at 445-2623 or Emma Hill at 454-3751 and schedule a time you would be available to visit AES.
