PAWS Hosts FALL in Love Adoption Event!

As the foliage peaks and temperatures drop, PAWS Brave Hearts invites you to delight in the fall season by falling in love with one of the marvelous animals in their care.  Fall is always special in animal shelters and this year is no exception.  Visitors can expect to be greeted by cats and dogs, young and old, who are eager to find new families.

For this week,  October 26-31, PAWS is waiving all fees for senior citizens and veterans who adopt adult cats or dogs during extended walk-in hours from 12-5 Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  All adoptable cats and dogs are posted on, location 04619.  Adoptive families are encouraged to browse through the on-line postings as well as our special Facebook albums before visiting the old-fashioned way!

This is the time of year for adopters to find the furry companions they long for during the cold weather and holiday season that lies ahead.  For example, most people assume all cats will enjoy being picked up or sitting in their lap, but that is rarely the case. Right now, PAWS has many charming kitties who want to snuggle.  Some adopters want the thrill of kittens discovering every nook and cranny and collapsing together after a hilarious playtime.  PAWS has adoptable kittens as well as up and comers who will be ready in two weeks.  Still others want a mature, loving cat or dog who has lost their beloved family members and want nothing more than the comfort of a home.  PAWS has many adult animals with established personalities ready to settle into a new family.

Whether you’ve been waiting to find that exceptional animal or thinking about neglected or special needs animals who urgently need your help, now is the time to adopt!  PAWS adoption fees are only a fraction of the cost of care provided to all animals, including spay/neuter, preventative vaccinations and care, medical care, microchip, 30 days of insurance, and a free wellness check at one of four participating veterinary clinics.  Special needs animals are always fee-waived.  For more information, call 454-7662, email, and visit, location 04619, today.
