Suspected Farmer's Union Market Burglar Arrested

From Pleasant Point Police Department:  At approximately 0300 in the early morning hours of Oct. 18th, the Pleasant Point Police Department received a call from dispatch asking us to respond via request from the Washington County Sheriff’s department to the Farmer’s Union grocery store for an alarm. As it turns out, the store had been entered and multiple items had been stolen. The officer’s response time was less than 2 minutes and 30 seconds, but because of a delay of calls between the alarm company and the county’s dispatch, the suspect was gone on arrival.

On October 20, while on patrol, Investigator Ashely Seiler observed a male subject that was a person of interest related to the Perry burglary walking on Wpap Road in Pleasant Point. After a short foot chase, he was subsequently arrested and is awaiting charges of burglary. Great job to everyone involved. Our work with surrounding agencies have been so invaluable and have resulted in many resolutions in cases.
