There are still a few students who have not returned their report cards.  Please don’t forget to return your child’s signed report card to school.

The weather is changing so please make sure if your child wears boots to school that they have sneakers to change into.  Also your child must be properly dressed for outside recess, with jackets, hats and mittens.

Retake for fall pictures will be Monday, November 27th. If you need a new form please contact the AES office.

The 8th grade class is selling RADA Cutlery for their end of the year trip.  If you wish to purchase some please stop by the school or see any 8th Grader.

Remember there will be no school on Thursday and Friday in observation of the Thanksgiving Holiday.

The annual Community Christmas Party will be at the school on December 2nd at 4:00 p.m.  Santa will be making an appearance.  This is sponsored by the Alexander Grange and FOG.  This is open to the Communities of Alexander/Crawford and Cooper.  All children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.  Soliciting for refreshments has begun, please see Mrs. Hill to be added to the list.  For more information, check out the Alexander Grange #304 Facebook page where the event is posted.

The school still has lots of music garlic (mild) for sale.  It is $3 per bag and it is organically grown.  Please call the school at 454-2623 or drop by during the day to purchase some.

Don’t forget AES is part of Hannaford Helps Schools Program.  You can leave your receipts at the Trade Winds for Alexander Elementary School or send them to the AES office.  This program runs until December 2, 2017.

The Student Council of AES has two events happening this year.  From now until December break they will be sponsoring a food drive for the local food pantries.  This will be a contest between Mrs. Lutz’s pre-k, kindergarten  and 1st grade, Mrs. Hill’s 2nd and 3rd  graders, Mrs. Small’s 4th and 5th grade homeroom and Mr. Flood’s 6th, 7th and 8th grade homeroom.  There is also going to be an ongoing Charitable Penny Collection Event going on for the remainder of the school year, with the charity yet to be announced.  This too, will be a contest between the four classrooms.
