Downtown was busy Friday evening. The stores were beautifully decorated and lit up, music was playing and food was being served. It was a great evening. The parade was phenomenal, more than we were expecting.  Thanks to all who made this happen. It was certainly delightful and put everyone in the holiday mood.

I attended the Historical Society Christmas party on Saturday evening. A buffet of ham, turkey, cheeses, salad, punch, tea, coffee, pickles, rolls, pies, chocolate pudding cake and much more was served. I watched a film of Calais in 1800 and 1900. It was booming. So sad there are so many changes now. I saw 200 different greeting cards from back in the early 1800s and up to 1990s. It was wonderful. Thanks Gerry.

Keep me posted on any events or families visiting over the holidays.
