To Anyone Who Hears

Sitting with Hope Ministries

To the person who’s struggling with the loss of a loved one.  To the teen who feels hopeless.  To the one who’s crushed by the weight of the world.  There is hope!

To the woman who’s struggling with overwhelming regret.  To the spouse who feels unlovable.  To the child who misses his daddy.  There is love!

To the individual who’s been lied to all their life.  To the young adult who bears the scars of abuse.  To the person who doesn’t know who to trust anymore.  There is Truth!

To the man who wants to fall asleep and never wake up. To the one who doesn’t see the point of holding it together.  To the girl on the brink of suicide.  There is life!

Here’s what Christ offers:

“What strength do I have, that I should hope? And what is my end, that I should prolong my life?” (Job 6:11). “Surely every man walks about like a shadow; surely they busy themselves in vain; he heaps up riches, and does not know who will gather them. (Psalm 39:6). “God will wipe every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.  There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:4). “And now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in You.” (Psalm 39:7).

“All my close friends abhor me, and those whom I love have turned against me.” (Job 19:19). “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8). “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16). “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39).

“What is truth?” (John 18:38). “Behold, this we have searched out, it is true. Hear it, and know for yourself.” (Job 5:27). “This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.” (1 John 1:5). “Jesus spoke…saying, “I Am the Light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the Light of Life.” (John 8:12).

“Therefore I hated life because the work that was done under the sun was distressing to me, for all is vanity and grasping for the wind.” (Ecclesiastes 2:17). “Thus says the Lord God to those bones: ‘Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.” (Ezekiel 37:5). “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” (John 4:13-14).

What’s the catch? There is none! “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God…” (Ephesians 2:8). Will you take it? It is a free gift – will you open it?
