Big OT Victory Over Lee Academy

In a huge contest for the Blue Devils at home they hosted the fifth place private school Pandas from Lee Academy. At the time Calais was in 16th place and not in the playoff hunt. Calais powered to a 19-6 lead in the opening stanza and went to the lockers midway sporting a 9 point lead, 23-14. The Pandas battled back in the third and started the final period with a 1 point lead, 31-30. The fourth proved a see-saw battle as Blake Collins hit a jumper foul line extended with 14 seconds remaining in 4th to put Calais up 42-40. Lee's Cole Harriman had a put back on a last second shot as time expired to send the game to overtime after a 42-42 deadlock. Calais played the final 4 minutes well as they held WA to a single hoop while playing to a critical 51-44 victory. Matt Perkins again paced the Blue Devils with 15 points and 10 boards, Addison Coty netted 12 points, Blake Collins, back from an injury, hit 10, and Critchley added 8 in the 68-51action.
