The cold weather and icy conditions caused the church folk at the Dennysville-Edmunds Church to cancel both the monthly breakfast on Saturday and the Sunday morning service.  However, there are hopes that the weather will be more cooperative for future Sundays and the January public supper next Saturday, January 20th at 5 p.m.  There will be all you can eat of beans, many other entrees, salads, rolls, and dessert.  No one goes away hungry from these dinners!

At the Lincoln Memorial Public Library, the hours have returned to normal:  Mondays 4 - 7 p.m.; Tuesdays and Fridays 1:30 - 4 p.m.  However, this Monday is a legal holiday, so the library will not be open until Tuesday this week.  If you have a book, or anything, to return, remember that there is a book drop to the left of the front door, and internet connection is available anywhere around the library, including the parking lot 24/7.  It’s not at all uncommon to see someone parked in the library and using their laptop or iPad there.  Travelers particularly appreciate this service at nearly any library in the state.

Hope everyone’s New Year is starting well, despite the weather and the difficulties it can create.  The snow may be difficult to deal with in some ways, but it certainly is very picturesque!  We live in a beautiful place!
