Tax Assistance at Peavey Library


The Washington County VITA Tax Program will also provide two sessions at Peavey Library for low to mid-income individuals to seek assistance with filing their taxes. IRS certified tax preparers will be available on Monday, February 12 from 2:00-7:00 p.m. for intake, (with pick-up for completed taxes on Tuesday February 20, from 2:00-4:00); and Monday, March 5 from 2:00-7:00 p.m. for intake (with pick-up for completed taxes on Monday March 12, from 2:00-4:00). Clients must call to make an appointment for either February 12 or March 5, and need to bring all of the following materials: photo ID; original Social Security card or ITIN, copy of last year’s tax return, all W-2 wage statements for 2017, 1099 SSA, 1099-R & 1099-G, cash income amount and work expenses,  1095 Health coverage form, direct deposit information, including routing number. A maximum of 30 minutes is allotted per person, so it is necessary to have your materials in order prior to arriving for your appointment.
