Although the weather has ranged from warm to frigid,  you can still count on the West Grand Snowmobile Club taking every opportunity to groom the trails that lead to Grand Lake Stream. Always keep in mind that the Pine Tree Store is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. offering amenities for all the snowmobilers in the area.  For trail conditions call 207-796-5027.

We enjoyed a great visit with Ken Smith (The Hermit) and the food at the Miss Brunswick Diner last week.  He is counting the days when he’ll be able to open his camp and check out the grounds after our long winter.

As always, the Grand Lake Stream fire department continues to provide training which is so important to maintain a successful department.  Two new members started on the 15th and will have a day- long training session very soon in Grand Lake Stream.  Departments from Charlotte, Baileyville and Princeton frequently attend joint training sessions. John Arcaro and Gary Santerre will be traveling to Machias for Community Management Training.  On March 31st there will be an all-day training session held at Grand Lake Stream. The first two hours will focus on Community participation. The theme of this training will be “Fire Departments Dealing with Being Shorthanded”. Grand Lake is fortunate to have such a great group of folks willing to have their department be one of the best!!

The Women to Women Valentine Party was a great success  with food and lots of laughs and a good time.  The pictures and decorations were the best!
