Baileyville Father and Son Arrested for Drug Trafficking

Following the execution of a search warrant at D Street in Baileyville on March 2nd, Gordon Casey, 57, and his son, Adam Casey, 34, were arrested on charges of Trafficking of Schedule W Drugs.

According to Baileyville Police Chief Bob Fitzsimmons, the drugs seized appear to be heroin. They have been sent for analysis to the Maine State Crime Lab.  Also seized was a quantity of cash believed to be related to the sale of drugs. In addition, digital scales, hypodermic needles, cellular phones, and packaging consistent with the sale of drugs were also found.

Calais Officer Matt Vinson drafted the warrant initially following another incident that occurred in Calais. Assisting in the search were the Calais PD, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Border Patrol and the MDEA. “We are fortunate to have these agencies work together to combat this and other issues in our area,” Fitzsimmons stated.
