Lincoln Memorial Library in Dennysville

The new week will begin with another monthly First Monday Tea at the Library on April 2nd from 4 to 7 p.m.  Come any time and enjoy tea, treats, and talk.  You never know what the conversations will bring, often more than one going on at the same time, although often one topic seems to draw everyone together to share experiences, questions, ideas and all manner of stories.  Come for a relaxing and pleasant time with pleasant people.

Movie Night continues on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month.  This Friday, April 6th will bring the next installment of the delightful, and often hilarious, “All Creatures Great and Small” plus Agatha Christie’s spinster sleuth Miss Marple in “The Body in the Library.”  The amusements will begin at 6:30 p.m. with cider and popcorn available.

Jim Bergstrom, volunteer librarian, and Colin Windhorst, library board president, have been working hard on the annual report on the library that must go to the state to ensure that the library maintains its supported services, including internet and other helpful and often essential assistance.  This includes reporting on the number of books and other materials used, the number of patrons who have used the library’s resources, and many other things, not to mention a full financial report.  It’s a lot of work and all the librarians (esp. Jim) and Colin are to be highly commended for achieving this goal by the beginning of April.
