The library is delighted and honored to have received a beautiful new American flag, which was donated by Sam & Jim Bergstrom!  The old one was historic, having flown over troops in  Afghanistan, but it had become tattered and worn.  Jim, who does so much for the library, helped by his brother, raised it to half-mast, in memory of Barbara Bush, and raised it fully on Sunday, following her Saturday funeral.  Please admire it, as it proudly waves.

The Annual Library Meeting will be held at the library on Saturday, May 12th at 10 a.m., and there will be much to consider, especially how to manage to afford to keep the library running for another year, not to mention what to do about the very necessary maintenance and up-grades that are becoming more and more imperative. Ideas for more services we can offer and presentations that might interest the people of Dennysville and environs are always needed and welcomed.  We have come a long way in the years since the library re-opened in the ‘80s, but there is still much that should and can be done.

Sadly, Movie Night has come to an end for this season.  There are hopes that there may be some future single occasions to focus on seasonal matters, such as gardening, and ideas for things or guests that people might like to have presented would be most welcome.  If you have ideas, feel free to bring them to the attention of the librarians or board members … or come to the meeting.
