Dennys River Farmers’ Market Opening Day a Great Success

Town News

On Wednesday, June 20th, those who stopped in at the parking lot between the church and the library to see what was going on all found plenty to interest them!  Among the half dozen vendors were Lil Buddy Farm with produce galore; Flo and Jim of the Dudley with eggs, delicious chard their very popular, tempting doughnuts; Beverly Spencer with her various tasty baked items (including yummy raspberry squares); as well as others selling soups, spices, rugs (made to last and so cheerful from lobstering rope); and the list goes on.  This week there will certainly be more vendors as the word gets out and there will be more shoppers as well as the grapevine gets into summer gear!  The market goes from 3 to 6 p.m.  There’s also a book sale at the library, to give one stop shopping for body and mind.
