Calais Librarian Retiring After 34 Years Of Service

“It just feels right,” she told a Calais Advertiser reporter.  “It’s time for a change for me and the library.  I still love it, but it is time for somebody else to step in.”
She will finish her career at the library on June 30th.

Letter To The Editor - Wheelock

What a huge injustice to the community the administration of Calais Regional Hospital is responsible for! We live in a area of the world that needs more from a hospital than an area that has multiple choices of health care. Not less. And the whole situation has a bad smell. Why is it such a secret the reason that Dr. Bob was not allowed to remain at the hospital? We need to be informed.

Letter To The Editor - Kendall

The recent State on-site visit to the Calais Regional Hospital did not go well. There are many issues that need to be addressed. The State is making a follow-up visit this month, and will determine the future viability of CRH as a Critical Access Hospital in Washington County.
