There’s not too much happening at our school right now, but there are a few things I will share with you.

We have transitioned from volleyball to basketball, and practices for both boys and girls has begun.  I will post a game schedule as soon as I have one.

The after-school program met Monday afternoon, and the students who came had a wonderful time making pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. The recipe was a healthy version made with oat flour and honey, and the kids loved them! Next Monday we will be having a pie making event from 3:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. We will be making pumpkin pies, squash pies, and pumpkin bread and cookies. Students in grades 4 through 8 must attend with an adult. A light supper will be served. We hope to see many people there!

On Saturday November 19, there will be a fundraiser held for our friend and co-worker, Sandra Lyon, who is battling cancer. It will be a coffee house/talent show with a Chinese auction. The Cooper Hill Band will play some folk/blues/classics. It will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Meddybemps Community Center. We hope to see so many of you there!

That’s all the news for this week. Until next week, take care, and never stop learning.
