Calais:  Doris (Dot) K. Glass went home to be with her Lord on February 21, 2018. Dot was the daughter of Roy E. and Arlene (Noddin) Kavanaugh of Rollingdam, N.B. Canada. Dot attended school in Rollingdam and graduated from Miss Brown's  School of Business in St. Stephen, N.B. After marrying Don Glass in St. Stephen,  they eventually moved to Calais where they raised three children: Sharon Lewis of Charlotte, ME, Joyce Walton of Calais and David Glass of Bowdoin, ME. Dot worked at WareKnitters in Calais, was a sales person at W.T. Grant and J.C.Penney and worked as secretary at E.M.E.C. and WQDY  radio station.  In the early 70's, Dot became a local business person as the owner and operator of The Bonnie Wee Lass ladies clothing store in Calais for 25 years, retiring in 1996. Dot enjoyed knitting, shopping, spending time with her family and her friends at the Methodist Homes where she resided in Calais. Dot was predeceased by her husband, Don, of 58 years in 2003; her father in 1980 and her mother in 1983. Dot is survived by her daughter Sharon and husband James Lewis, her daughter Joyce and husband Bruce Walton and her son David Glass; five grandchildren, who were very special to her; her brother James Kavanaugh and family and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at the Calais Cemetery on May 19, 2018.
