Dr. Nima Moghaddas is the 2018 recipient of Calais Regional Hospital’s highest honor, the CRH Excellence Award.   Co-workers nominate individuals for this prestigious award given to an individual who exemplifies teamwork, respect for people, service to others, outstanding customer service and dedication to quality.

Dr. Moghaddas joined CRH in 2015 as a podiatrist in the CRMS Family Medicine office.    Her co-workers describe her as exemplifying the highest regard for patient safety and quality care.  She is actively engaged, a supporter of process improvement and a willing collaborator.  She believes in being proactive in educating and encouraging her patients and her colleagues over the necessity of diabetic foot care, in particular.  Dr. Moghaddas shows great respect to her staff and colleagues and provides appropriate support, particularly during challenging days.   She is welcoming to new staff members regardless of their role and she genuinely likes to get to know the team.  And last, but not least, she brings an element of fun to the workplace and is notorious for her nerf toys to liven up the environment and brighten everyone’s day.

Dr. Moghaddas is family oriented and is actively engaged in charity work and community events and is a volunteer at the local Thrift Store.  She is a member of CRH’s Relay for Life team and often engages in other hospital events.  Dr. Moghaddas and her family recently dedicated time and personal resources towards improving the landscape around her office building.

Dr. Moghaddas lives in Perry with her husband Ron and two children, Alex and Cyrus.
