Honor Wilkinson Receives Scholarship, Fellowships

Honor Wilkinson, a junior at Harvard University, has received a full tuition scholarship from the Pembroke-King’s College Programme at University of Cambridge, England.  Only four scholarships to this program were awarded world-wide. She will be taking two classes at Cambridge and pursuing supervised research with a professor.

GED Deadline

Adults who live in the Greater Calais area who have not yet completed their GED tests are reminded that there is a deadline of December 15th to finish, or they will have to start all over in January when the new GED test begins.  Pre-testing and prep services are available by appointment through the Adult Basic Education collaboration that serves Washington County.  These free sessions are hel

Two Local Residents Earn Masters

Two local residents, Abbie Rohde (of Robbinston) and Megan Lord (of Meddybemps) participated in the University of Maine’s 2011th commencement ceremony on May 11th. Both women had previously earned their undergraduate degrees, also from the University of Maine, in the field of social work. This past Saturday they were awarded their Masters in Social Work.
